The Tencent Youth Game Designer Challenge aims to discover outstanding game R&D talents among college and university students, as well as innovative game-related works through this event. The challenge provides students with a platform to showcase their skills, foster and nurture their creativity as gamers, and enjoy a creative event!

There is no specified creative theme for this track, and students and teams can create freely, or create around themes such as traditional culture protection and publicity, animal protection and publicity, environmental protection, scientific research, knowledge popularization, education, and medical treatment.

This track calls for collaboration with university students worldwide to use digital products to display and publicize the protection of endangered wild animals. Contribute to the realization of the beautiful vision of harmonious coexistence between man and nature, promote building a community with a shared future for mankind, and jointly build a better world.

The same work that meets the requirements can be submitted to multiple tracks and obtains multiple awards.

Please put the following materials into a compressed package and submit to this email: gameinstitutereport@tencent.com.
Materials should include: work ppt introduction, work demonstration video (recommended 3-5 minutes), work trial installation package (no need to submit project files, the installation package can be opened and tried), and the compressed package is named after the work name.
Please control the storage of the compressed package within 2G. If it exceeds 2G, please upload first and put the download link in the text.

PART 08

1. Participants
College and university students around the world.
2. Work requirements
Independently choose the direction of the work to present high-quality products. The form of the work needs to include PPT, work demonstration video, and runnable Demo (no need to submit project files).
3. How to participate
(1) Participants can register on the official website of Tencent Institute of Games and need to download relevant materials on the official website of PC and submit works as required.
(2) Each team has a maximum of 6 people (including 6 people).
4. Participation Rules
(1) Participants must provide the true and correct information when registering and submitting works, and the organizer will contact them based on the registered account number and registration information; The content of privacy will be kept confidential.
(2) The entry must be the original work of the participants and enjoy complete and independent intellectual property rights to the work and have the right to use the work to participate in this activity.
(3) The entries should be unpublished works, that is, the works should not have been published on any other third-party platforms or places.
(4) All legal responsibilities (including but not limited to legal responsibilities caused by infringement of others' copyrights) caused by the entries shall be independently borne by the participants. If any losses are caused to Tencent or a third party, the participants shall be liable for all losses responsibility.
(5) If plagiarized works are found, comments and suggestions on the competition can be fed back to Institute_of_Games@tencent.com, and the reasons must be explained in detail for the competition organizing committee to review.
5. Copyright Statement
(1) All participants who sign up and upload game works through the "Tencent Institute of Games" platform are deemed to have understood and accepted the event rules, entry requirements, process, scoring standards, and other conditions, otherwise, all legal responsibilities arising from participants’ behavior or submitted works shall be borne solely by the participants. Therefore, if any loss is caused to Tencent or a third party, the participants shall be solely responsible for all compensation.
(2) If Tencent requires the participants to provide proof of copyright and other rights related to the submitted work, the participants should provide relevant proof in strict accordance with the relevant requirements, otherwise, Tencent has the right to cancel its qualification at any time.
(3) Tencent reserves the right to interpret the rules of the event within the scope permitted by law.
(4) The intellectual property rights of all entries belong to the contestants. If the materials owned by Tencent are used in the works and the IP and materials provided by Tencent's partners, the intellectual property rights will be owned by both the participants and Tencent. Tencent can use the works in the production of publicity materials for competitions and related activities; for designated and authorized media releases; for award ceremonies, exhibitions, and other related landing activities. Participants agree that Tencent can use the works for public welfare for free. Before Tencent invests in incubation resources and the commercial development of excellent works, the two parties (Tencent and the participants) will negotiate.
6. Guarantee the legality of the work
The content of the work is not allowed to contain the following information, including but not limited to:
(1) Promote or encourage crime.
(2) Vulgar information.
(3) Excessive nudity, or pornographic and sexual descriptions.
(4) Depiction of violence or cruelty to people or animals, or other information that causes discomfort to others.
(5) Information that hinders the physical and mental development of young people, such as encouraging minors to consume tobacco and alcohol.
(6) Contains information that is insulting and defamatory to the country, social organizations, or others.
(7) Other information that is prohibited by laws and regulations or that is not conducive to the healthy development of society.
